Following our vision and development strategy to become a Multisport Club, we are pleased to announce that Christchurch United has registered a cricket program. Christchurch United Cricket Club started cricket sessions from the 4th term.
The Under 8 classes will focus on physical activity and developing a lifelong love of exercise. The after-school groups will master fundamental cricket skills and start to learn specific sports skills such as hitting moving balls, catching and throwing a cricket ball, and we will also introduce basic game rules with modified games to suit class size and ability.
Saturday Cricket Team Trainings on Wednesdays 4.30−5.30.
After School session for U6-U8 Fridays 3.30−4.30
Friday sessions start on the 16th October and will run through to March 2021.
Saturday games start from 9am at schools and parks around Christchurch, and start on Saturday 17th October, and run through to March 2021.

Cat Quinn
coach
Our coach Cat Quinn has many years’ experience playing and coaching in Christchurch. She has been involved in Junior cricket full time for the last 10 years, coaching and doing administration at clubs around Christchurch, as well as still playing in the social woman’s grade.
Cat is a New Zealand Cricket qualified coach that has studied Sports Coaching at Canterbury University and is passionate about developing players to develop their physical literacy skills and enjoy the game of cricket. Cat is also involved in other multi sports such as netball, swimming, football and Tee-ball.
